Here are a few updates for you!

First

I have to start out by saying I have been having trouble keeping on top of everything and I am sorry for the impact it has had on each of you individually and collectively.  With that being said, Mae is back part-time while we look for a full-time team admin assistant!

Mae's 1st task is to re-register us for each supplier's online platforms under Live 2 Fly.  We already have access to RIU and Expedia under Live 2 Fly and each of you are able to register for your own login. For both platforms the more we book, the higher the commission is.

Tasks:

A. Create an Expedia TAAP account: Go to Expedia TAAP and choose Create an Expedia TAAP account.  This will help you keep track of your bookings.
B. Check your emails for an invitation to register for RIU Pro

Summary:

The agency credentials have changed. We will book as Live 2 Fly going forward and you will have individual login access to each supplier. If you have any bookings for immediate travel, use Expedia.

Second

Do not sell travel to any residents of the states of CaliforniaFloridaHawaii, or Washington. We are not licensed or registered as a foreign entity in those states nor are we associated with any host licensed in those states. A resident is defined as the address on their identification. Please be very vigilant about this.

Tasks:

A. Alter your Travel joy task list to import into each trip automatically.
B. Add a task to your Travel Joy Task list to contact the Agency manager if any traveler has a residence in any of these 4 states.

Summary:

While we know California actively goes after agencies without California Seller of Travel certificates who sell to California residents, we do not want to test the waters of any of the 3 remaining states.

Third

The best way to build up your travel-related income is to pick a lane and work it, work it, work it!  Choose a lane, a niche, an area where you are or can become a subject matter expert. For example,  SHAN has settled into sports team travel. This fits perfectly with her lifestyle as her daughter is a basketball player recognized by several media platforms for her skills on the court.  After building her authority in this area (through blogs and articles on various platforms, being quoted in media articles, and great service that leads to referrals) Shan will easily be able to expand into groups or individuals traveling for sporting events such as marathons, super bowls, all-star weekends... the possibilities are endless
Think about the following areas: Destination Celebrations, Sports Travel, Small and Medium size Business Retreat Services, Concierge Services, or Leisure travel with destination-specific expertise.  Please note, your area of expertise will not limit you from other travel services. On the contrary, focusing will help you determine where to spend your energy without stressing over what to do or sell next. You can also let your clients know about agency travel deals and group trips.

Tasks

A. Add a title that speaks to your area of expertise to your personal and travel business emails, and your personal social media accounts.
B. If your Niche is for very specific clients, speak to the Agency Manager about creating a Dedicated Page on the website that sells to clients in your Niche. It will help with creating authority in your niche as a subject matter expert
C. Create a form specific to your travel niche in your Travel Joy form Templates. We can add this form to your area of the website and share that link in your email signature, as well as any link tree type of service on all social media platforms, including the agency's social profiles
D. Create an IG post in Canva or another platform that you can share on your own and on the agency's Facebook and IG pages.

Fourth

As an agent, you have access to discounts and cash incentives. So treat yourself. Once you register to a supplier portal as an agent with our agency, you can collect incentives in your own name. Very few are in the agency name except for higher commissions. Get excited about collecting:
  1. Points to use with specific suppliers
  2. Gift cards to use anywhere
  3. Discounted hotel stays and cruises
  4. Free hotel stays and cruises

Tasks:

A. Check out the offer from MeliaPro below. Imagine yourself in the Canary islands on a romantic vacation or a trip with your friends...
B. Check out the L2F Agent Login spreadsheet on the Drive for updates on registering for supplier portals and the separate Incentives tabs.

Fifth

We are recruiting. That's riiiiight!  This means you can grow a team of your own (no, not multilevel marketing) or you can refer friends, family, or associates.
Who we're looking for:
  • 1-2 Event planners (leisure or corporate) who are already active in their field and want to add hotel commissions as an additional stream of income.
  • 1-3 Event Planners to work within our business retreats area
  • 1 Event Planner to work within our Destination Celebrations Area
  • 1-2 general agents for Leisure travel and L2F Group Travel
  • 2-3 team leaders who often travel with groups of people already
  • Possibly one more sports travel agent pending Shan's approval
  • 1-2 full-time client services staff
  • 1 full-time assistant for email marketing, social media marketing, and affiliate marketing
How does growing your own team differ from this? Well, you can hire/contract staff to work specifically on your clients. This is a way to Work smarter, not harder.  As you drum up interest in your travel services, imagine having someone who can create proposals, and invoices, book itineraries, and monitor communication on your behalf. Imagine turning over pictures and notes and having someone create a blog or press release for you.
You can also choose to have someone you work well with be the 2nd contracting agent for the services you provide. Imagine Shan and another Sports parent both generating new team business together. You can split commissions, create friendly competitions as you both grow, or split the work by sports.
